Use the complete set for fully loaded self contained camping tours. This is the set-up most often used by cyclists travelling across countries or around the world. The roll top closure ensures maximum protection from water and dust. Remember that you need to carry pretty much the same kit whether your tour is 3 weeks, 3 months or 3 years. For short trips or a B&B tour you could use the rear panniers and barbag. You can even use the front panniers on the rear rack if you are travelling light.
